Here at Worthy Earth Education, we believe that every school should have it's own kitchen garden on site, and every student should finish school knowing how to produce their own vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs.

We’re on a mission to make that a reality, one school at a time.

Our work with Frensham Heights School - Farnham

At Frensham Heights in Surrey, Worthy Earth has established a kitchen garden which hosts weekly agroecological gardening lessons with Year 5s to Year 7 students.

The garden is an interactive learning resource whereby the students gain practical knowledge about the reality of food production; they are involved in every stage, including planting, maintenance, and harvesting.

By learning with their hands in the soil, the students gain personal and inter-personal skills, an awareness of sustainability and biodiversity.

We are incredibly grateful to Worthy earth for giving our Year 5 students at Frensham the chance to work on their farm and experience the magic of growing vegetables firsthand. This hands-on experience allowed the children to see science in action, relating what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-life processes on a farm. It was a fantastic opportunity for teamwork, learning, and building a deeper understanding of where our food comes from. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!
