Growing at School

At Frensham Heights in Surrey, Worthy Earth has established a kitchen garden which is led by Year 7 students. The garden is an interactive learning resource whereby the students gain practical knowledge about the reality of food production; they are involved in every stage, including planting, maintenance, and harvesting. By learning with their hands in the soil, the students gain personal and inter-personal skills, an awareness of sustainability and biodiversity.
